Laney Amplification

Laney Amplification is a renowned British audio equipment manufacturer, specializing in guitar and bass amplifiers, cabinets, and public address systems. The company has a rich history of innovation and quality, becoming a staple name in the music industry.

Laney Amplification was founded by Lyndon Laney in 1967. While playing bass guitar in the band Band of Joy, Lyndon began building amplifiers in his father’s garage. His innovative designs quickly gained popularity among local musicians, including Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath. This early success led to the establishment of Laney Amplification as a company.

1980s: Introduced the AOR (Advanced Overdrive Response) series, which became popular for its built-in extra gain stage, used by artists like Vinnie Moore and George Lynch.
1990s: Expanded product lines to include the VC range of retro-styled amps, the Tube Fusion series, and signature models for artists like Paul Gilbert and Tony Iommi.
2000s: Continued innovation with the introduction of the TT series, NEXUS series bass amplifiers, Lionheart range, and CUB series.
2010s: Launched the Ironheart series for metal guitarists, and reproduced classic models like the LA100BL for special editions.
